The Old Townhouse is situated close to Poole Quay in the Old Town opposite Poole Museum.

The busy quayside, with its many pubs and restaurants, is just around the corner.

There are so many things to do and see in Poole. During the holiday season, pleasure boats, giving interesting commentaries, will take you around the islands of Poole Harbour, on a river trip to Wareham or to the seaside town of Swanage. During Summer, there are also evening bird watching cruises from the quay.

Or, take the road train for a ride around Poole, stopping off to enjoy our beautiful Poole Park or Harbourside Park.

Poole Pottery is just a short walk along the quay, as is Purbeck Pottery with their many tempting gifts.

Why not visit Sandbanks while you are here, with its fine beach, for some swimming and sunbathing. Or just sit for a while and watch the windsurfers in the bay!

Maybe you are looking for a little peace and quiet, in which case, a wander round the Old Town, with its historic buildings and beautiful St James Church is the order of the day.
